Each programme is mapped to the NCrF / NSQF Level 4 framework and approved by NSDC, Skill India Digital Hub or WBSCT&VE&SD, Govt. of West Bengal. You study for 480 to 900 hours, train inside real hospitals and diagnostic labs, and finish with a government-recognised certificate. Placement support is included with every course.
Learn to handle a medical emergency with confidence. You practise first aid, triage and vital-sign checks on manikins before you ever touch a real patient. The course also covers safe patient transfer, oxygen support and basic life support (BLS).
GDA is the most popular entry door to a hospital career. You learn how to look after a patient from admission to discharge — bed-making, mobility support, hygiene, feeding and vital-sign recording. A large part of the 900 hours is spent on hospital floors as on-the-job training.
A phlebotomist is the first person a patient meets in any diagnostic centre. This course gives you hands-on venepuncture practice until the technique becomes second nature. You also master the order of draw, correct labelling, sample preservation and cold-chain transport.
This is our government-affiliated laboratory course for the 2026–27 session. You work with real pathology samples, learn routine test procedures, and handle microscopes, centrifuges and analysers. On-the-job training in a partner diagnostic lab is built into the 720 hours.

Eligibility depends on the course. GDA starts from Class 10 pass, while EMT Basic and Phlebotomy Technician need Class 12 (10+2) pass in any stream. There is no upper age limit. Admission runs on a first-come, first-served basis and seats are limited — the Medical Laboratory Assistant batch has only 20 approved seats for the 2026–27 session. General Duty Assistant (GDA) has the widest demand. Almost every hospital and nursing home in Kolkata hires GDAs throughout the year. If you prefer laboratory work instead of ward duty, choose Phlebotomy Technician or Medical Laboratory Assistant.

Course length is counted in training hours, not years. EMT Basic runs for 480 hours, both Phlebotomy Technician and Medical Laboratory Assistant run for 720 hours, and GDA runs for 900 hours. Most students finish within six to twelve months.
