1Acceptance of Terms

By enrolling in any course, using the website www.ssmtskill.com, or availing any service offered by the Society for the School of Medical Technology (hereinafter referred to as "SSMT" or "the Institution"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must refrain from enrolling or using our services. These terms apply to all students, guardians, visitors, and any person interacting with SSMT.

2About the Institution

The School of Medical Technology (SSMT) is a premier allied healthcare and paramedical training institute established on 18th May 1992, registered under the Societies Registration Act, West Bengal (Registration No. SO/70470).

Registered Address: 24, Girish Chandra Bose Road, Above SBI Entally Branch, 3rd Floor, Entally, Kolkata – 700014, West Bengal, India.

3Admission & Eligibility

• Admissions are granted once per calendar year as per the academic schedule announced by the Institution.
• Applicants must meet the minimum eligibility criteria specified for each course (generally 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board).
• The Institution reserves the right to verify all documents submitted at the time of admission. Submission of false or misleading information will result in immediate cancellation of admission without any refund.
• A candidate seeking admission must be of the minimum age as prescribed by the respective affiliating body.
• Admission is subject to availability of seats and is granted at the sole discretion of the Institution.

4Fee Payment & Refund Policy

• All fees must be paid as per the schedule communicated at the time of admission.
• Fees once paid are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances, except as described in the Institution's Cancellation & Fee Refund Policy.
• Delayed payment of fees beyond the prescribed schedule may result in suspension or discharge from the course.
• EMI facility is available for eligible students. EMI payments must be made on time; failure to do so may result in cancellation of the EMI arrangement.
• The West Bengal Student Credit Card Facility may be availed by eligible students for financing their education. SSMT holds no liability for the approval or rejection of such applications.

5Academic Rules & Attendance

• A minimum attendance of 75% in both theory and practical/clinical sessions is mandatory to appear in examinations.
• Students absent for more than 3 consecutive days without prior written information or application may be liable for disciplinary action.
• Academic sessions, examinations, and internship schedules are subject to change at the Institution's discretion and in accordance with the affiliating university/body's guidelines.
• Students are required to submit assignments and practical notebooks by specified deadlines.

6Code of Conduct

All students enrolled at SSMT are expected to maintain a high standard of personal and professional conduct. Violation of the following rules will result in disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion without any refund of fees paid:

• Unsatisfactory or inappropriate conduct within or outside the Institution premises.
• Activities found detrimental to the interest of the Institution, management, faculty, or fellow students.
• Involvement in unlawful, anti-social, or anti-national activities.
• Ragging, harassment, or bullying of any kind is strictly prohibited and will be treated as a criminal offense.
• Use of mobile phones, social media, or any electronic device in classrooms or clinical areas without permission is prohibited.

7Certification & Examination

• Certificates and degrees are awarded jointly by SSMT and the respective affiliating body (IMA, BFUHS, Vidyasagar University, MSU, etc.) upon successful completion of all academic and practical requirements.
• Six months of mandatory internship must be completed satisfactorily before the final certificate is issued.
• SSMT holds no liability for any delay in the issuance of certificates due to procedural requirements of the affiliating bodies.
• Medium of instruction and examination for all IMA-affiliated courses shall be English.

8Placement Assistance

SSMT offers 100% Placement Assistance to its students. However, the following conditions apply:

• Placement assistance does not guarantee employment. It includes job referrals, resume support, interview preparation, and access to the Institution's hospital and diagnostic centre network.
• Final selection rests entirely with the employer and SSMT bears no responsibility for the outcome of any recruitment process.
• Students must maintain a satisfactory academic and conduct record to avail placement services.

9Intellectual Property

All content on the SSMT website (www.ssmtskill.com), including text, images, logos, course materials, videos, and branding, is the exclusive intellectual property of the Society for the School of Medical Technology.

Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of any content without prior written permission from SSMT is strictly prohibited and may attract legal action.

10Privacy & Data Policy

SSMT collects personal information from students, applicants, and website visitors solely for academic and administrative purposes. Your personal data will not be sold, shared, or disclosed to third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

11Disclaimer of Liability

• SSMT shall not be held liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from the use of its services, website, or facilities beyond what is reasonably controlled by the Institution.
• SSMT is not responsible for any third-party content, links, or services referenced on its website.
• The Institution reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any course, service, or facility at any time with appropriate prior notice.

12Changes to Terms

SSMT reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Students and users will be notified of material changes through the website or official communication channels. Continued enrollment or use of services after any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Kolkata, West Bengal.
