We are thrilled to announce a groundbreaking partnership between the Indian Medical Association (IMA), New Delhi, and Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Punjab. This strategic collaboration aims to offer joint paramedical courses that will provide exceptional educational opportunities for aspiring healthcare professionals across India.

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

he signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IMA and BFUHS signifies a monumental step in the realm of paramedical education. This alliance is set to establish a premier program that equips students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to excel in the dynamic healthcare sector.

Rising Demand for Paramedical Professionals

With the increasing demand for skilled paramedical professionals in India’s healthcare sector, this joint program is poised to position graduates for promising careers in various healthcare settings, including:

  • Hospitals and Clinics
  • Diagnostic Centers
  • Rehabilitation Centers
  • Nursing Homes
  • Research Institutes
  • Public Health Departments
  • Government Services
  • Opportunities for jobs and higher studies abroad

Enhanced Value of Diploma

The diploma awarded through this program will carry the prestigious recognition of both IMA and BFUHS. Affiliation and Curriculum

Participating institutes affiliated with IMA will need to seek further affiliation with BFUHS, involving payment of affiliation charges, joint inspections, and updated curriculum by both IMA and BFUHS. The program will offer both online and offline courses, with some credit transfers from BFUHS. Additionally, there will be a provision for a semester where students can attend BFUHS physically, with boarding and lodging facilities available.

Flexibility and Career Advancement

The program will offer multiple entry and exit points, allowing students to upgrade their skills and knowledge at any time during their lifetime. This flexibility ensures that students can continuously advance their careers in the healthcare field.

Fee Structure

Once institutes are affiliated with BFUHS, they will be able to charge higher fees for these courses. The fee structure will increase from Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 50,000, reflecting the enhanced value and opportunities provided by this collaborative program.

Upcoming Physical Meeting

To discuss the affiliation process and the numerous benefits accruing to students and participating institutes, we will hold a physical meeting at the IMA HQs. Representatives from both IMA and BFUHS will be available to address any queries and kick-start the affiliation process. The dates for this meeting will be announced shortly.

Conclusion

We are confident that this collaboration will be mutually beneficial for both institutions and will significantly enhance the future of paramedical education in India.
